The role of the individual will be to support, facilitate and drive sales of CCLA’s investment funds and capabilities.
The role involves effective collaboration between CCLA’s investment team and market development function. Taking initiative and ownership, being creative and delivering on projects is critical to be successful in this position. The role acts as a bridge between investment, compliance, relationship management and marketing teams facilitating the flow of information, the support of clients and the prospecting of new clients with investment-related content generation/facilitation.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Marketing and Communications Manager and investment writer(s) create new marketing documents, insights, sales materials, communications to ensure products are supported throughout the sales funnel in both face-to-face and online channels.
- Brief external suppliers, such as writers, videographers, designers, and investment team members in the generation of appropriate investment content.
- Support the launch of new products with clear positioning and key take-to-market collateral, announcements and relevant materials.
- Lead on the sustainability promotional materials, including brochures, articles, publications.
- Create materials to educate clients on the features, benefits, and associated messaging for all products and ensure these are consistently applied across all client segments.
- Apply principles of FCA’s consumer duty principles to the production and distribution of content.
- Be fully informed about CCLA’s investment process, portfolio construction, portfolio characteristics, as well as sustainability initiatives.
- Manage legal, compliance and subject matter expert sign-offs to ensure materials are compliant and appropriate.
- Produce and maintain relevant marketing collateral to support CCLA’s products.
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with fund managers and other senior stakeholders within the business.
- Attend appropriate events/meetings to market.
- Contribute to team and department initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.
Competencies
- Proven ability to write clearly and compellingly is the most important aspect of this role. Ability to grasp complex concepts and convert them into clear communication messages is key.
- Demonstrate professional behaviours and an ability to work in a cooperative, consistent, diligent and efficient manner - at times under pressure.
- Experience in delivering cross-departmental projects with strong project management skills is critical.
- Strong numeracy and literacy.
- Have some experience of digital tools for marketing communications (e.g. Marketo, Mailchimp) and website CMS to be able to support the team.
Skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
- Ability to use other tools such as PowerBi, infographic software are useful but not essential.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to deliver multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience/qualification
- Candidate should be educated to degree-level or equivalent.
- At least three years of relevant in-house or agency experience in a comparable role. Slightly less experienced candidates looking to grow will also be considered.
- Experience in asset management industry is desirable but not essential if a candidate can demonstrate transferrable skills.
