Support Operations Business Analyst

Main Responsibilities

  • Business analyst responsibilities are to support business requirements, initiate improvements in the current processes and produce project deliverables.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day Bloomberg activities, escalating issues to the Support Operations Manager and Bloomberg Relationship Manager.
  • Monitor the Bloomberg Order Management System Compliance Administration rules, including coding rules and reviewing violations.
  • Ensure the security of key systems by managing system access and keep a log of all system users.
  • Provide support to the Support Operations Manager and assist with realising team objectives.
  • Lead and provide support on operational projects for processes and business requirements.
  • Assist the Support Operations Manager in reviewing aspects of the current operating model.
  • Ad-hoc duties, as required

Experience and Skills Required

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an operations or business analyst role at an Investment Management company.
  • Preferred knowledge of OTC Derivative Asset Creation in Bloomberg.
  • Preferred knowledge of Bloomberg BVAL / RHUB / PORT.
  • Coding of compliance rules and investment restrictions in Bloomberg CMGR.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory reporting requirements in the Asset Management Industry.
  • Knowledge of UK regulated funds desirable.
  • Understanding of post trade work-flows including corporate actions.
  • Basic understanding of operational risk.
  • A relevant industry or professional qualification in Operations or Financial Services is beneficial.
  • Project co-ordination and delivery is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail in monitoring outputs and issue resolution.
