Positive engagement As pioneers of SRI, we are committed to engaging with companies and other organisations in a constructive way to achieve a positive agenda for change. Sometimes this engagement will be reactive, prompted by events, but we aim to be as proactive as we can, highlighting the issues that matter and working for change. We have undertaken research on a diverse range of issues including HIV/AIDS, stem cell research and supply chain issues in areas such as the mining industry in the Philippines. We are signatories to a number of important initiatives relating to responsible and sustainable investment. These include the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment, the Carbon Disclosure Project and the Investors’ Statement on Transparency in the Extractives Sector. We are also a member of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change and the UK Social Investment Forum and a subscriber to the Institute of Business Ethics. |
